ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 20 Lynn University men's tennis team shutout Michigan Tech, 4-0, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Monday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights cruised to the first team point by taking the top two doubles flights
- Junior
Gianmarco Amatiste and graduate
Jonathan Olive-Blanco took down Jack Lin and Leon Sell in the top flight, 6-4
- The pair is now 6-0 on the season and Monday's win is the first in the top flight
- Junior
Gabriele Felline and sophomore
Yaron Guberman posted a 7-5 victory in the second flight over Eli Pinnoo and Landon Coates
- They are 4-2 overall
- Felline and Guberman grabbed a second win on the day in their respective singles matches
- Felline downed Lin 6-3, 3-0 (retirement) in the top flight to improve to 7-0 in singles this year
- Guberman defeated Nikolai Prosjanykov at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-4
- He is now 4-1 in singles this spring having won his last four matches
- Sophomore
Aymen Alimoussa grabbed the final point of the afternoon after downing Adam Fenjiro, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4
- Alimoussa has won his last three singles matches and is 3-1 overall
