BOCA RATON, Fla.- Luz Tapia won the 50, 200 and 500 freestyle to help the Lynn women's swimming team defeat Florida Tech 195-66, Tuesday afternoon. The Fighting Knight women are now 5-2 in the Sunshine State Conference.

The men defeated the Panthers 152-110 as
Max Tsyfarov won the 100 breaststroke,100 freestyle and the 200 individual medley. The men are now 4-3 in the SSC.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Women):
- The Lynn women's swim team won 11 individual events as well as both the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays for 13 total combined event victories.
- Lynn took the top four spots in the 200 freestyle, with
Luz Tapia winning with a B cut time of 1:52.72,
Laura Dekoninck placing second (1:58.23),
Shachaf Bachar in third (1:58.66), and
Krystina Zavalaga in fourth (2:00.92)
- Tapia won the 50 freestyle in 24.10 and later won the 500 freestyle (5:11.46) by over 10 seconds for her second and third wins of the day
- Schneider won the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.15 and later won the 100 freestyle (53.03) for her two wins of the day

Mariele De Santis won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:04.97 and later won the 200 backstroke in 2:05.14 as well as the 200 individual medley (2:09.01)
- The team of
Luna Mertins, Tapia, Schneider and
Lexi Lundell took the top spot in the 400 yard medley (3:32.95), winning the event by nearly eight seconds.
- Dekoninck, Schneider, Mertins and Lundell also took the top spot in the 200 yard medley (1:46.31)
- Mertins placed first in the 100 backstroke.

Lydia Douthit (59.67) had the top time in the 100 butterfly while placing second in the 200 butterfly (2:07.92)
- Lundell led the way for Lynn in the 200 breaststroke (2:24.22) while
Ally Webster (2:26.92) and
Maggie Morse (2:26.92) placed second and third, respectively.

Julia Delaney swam the 1000 freestyle in 11:07.30 for second place.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Men):
- The Lynn men's swim team won nine individual events as well as the 200 medley for 10 combined event victories.

Vitaly Kostin took the top spot in the 200 freestyle with a B cut time of 1:39.29. He also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:37.72.

Max Tsyfarov racked up event wins, taking home the 100 breaststroke (56.28), 100 freestyle (46.03) and the 200 individual medley (1:56.61).

Paul Melcer topped all swimmers in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.41.

Ryan Zasas (58.18) and
Russell Hart (59.67) took second and third in the 100 backstroke.

Kamil Geisner took first in the 200 butterfly (1:52.95) while placing second in the 200 backstroke (1:55.20), the 100 butterfly (51.94) and the 200 backstroke (1:55.20).

Maurice Grabowski swam for first in the 50 freestyle (20.94) while placing second in the 100 freestyle (46.28).
- Zasas placed first in the 200 breaststroke by nearly six seconds (2:07.40).
- Melcer,
Kamil Piotrowicz, Kostin and Grabowski swam the 200 medley relay in 1:30.29 for a first place finish

Jack Budd and Tsyfarov swam the 400 freestyle relay in 3:09.28 for second place.
