Men’s Tennis posts shutout win over Lewis

BOCA RATON, Fla.- The Lynn University men's tennis team picked up its third shutout of the 2025 season, defeating Lewis on Tuesday morning, 4-0.
 
With the win, the Fighting Knights improved to 7-3 on the season while the Flyers fell to 0-7.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Lynn clinched its first point with doubles wins in both the second and third flights.
  • Alessio Demichelis and Lennart Ostheimer locked things down in the number two spot, downing Sarvar Azamatov and Gabriel Cuenca 6-2.
  • This marks the first time the pair has teamed together, picking up their first collective doubles win of the season.
  • The pair of Daniel Azar and Aaron Brandenburger picked up a 6-3 victory over Santiago Carabajal and Grant Miller in the third flight to pick up the doubles point for Lynn.
  • Azar and Brandenburger are 4-1 in doubles action this season, strictly playing in the third spot.
  • Aymen Alimoussa claimed Lynn's first singles win of the morning, toppling Azamatov in the third flight, 6-3, 6-3.
  • Alimoussa has been on an incredible run, winning five matches in a row with all coming in the number three spot. He is currently 7-3 on the year.
  • Ostheimer clinched his second win of the day, taking a 6-3, 7-5 victory in the fourth flight over Cuenca.
  • Ostheimer has won three matches in a row in the fourth spot with an overall 6-3 singles record this season.
  • Smaran Rangarajan finished off the Flyers, winning in the sixth flight over Miller, 6-3, 6-2.
  • Rangarajan is 3-2 on the year with all games being played in the number six spot.
