MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference has announced its 2025 Hall of Fame class as legendary Lynn University administration Gregory Malfitano was named as one of 10 members of the 2025 class, Friday afternoon.

Â
Malfitano, who recently celebrated 50 years at Lynn, spearheaded the evolution of 1980s campus recreational and intramural teams into one of the region's most competitive intercollegiate athletics programs. He went on to lead the Fighting Knights to earn essential memberships in the NAIA, Sunshine State Conference, and later, the NCAA Division II. He oversaw the recruitment of every athletics director and head coach through 2015.

Lynn won 23 of 32 SSC regular-season championships and 11 of its 17 SSC tournament championships under Malfitano's leadership. Â
Malfitano went on to be inducted into the Lynn University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024 for his numerous contributions to the department. He also earned the Lynn University Distinguished Alumni Award in April 2024 which the award was later named after.
Â
