ORLANDO, Fla. - Following a dominant performance in Lynn's convincing win over Florida Tech, sophomore Luz Tapia has been named the Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week.
 
Tapia led the Fighting Knights to a 199-62 victory, turning in an outstanding all-around effort with three individual event wins across both sprint and distance races. She captured first place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.04, B-cut), the 50-yard freestyle (24.08), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:11.54), showcasing exceptional versatility and consistency throughout the meet.
 
She also helped Lynn close the afternoon on a high note as part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.81), punctuating a commanding team performance.
 
Tapia's recognition is the sixth Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Week honor for Lynn this season and the second on the women's side, highlighting the strength of the Fighting Knights' swimming programs.
