OCALA, Fla. - The Lynn University swimming teams opened the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships with a strong showing Wednesday night, highlighted by a podium finish in the women's 800 freestyle relay and competitive depth on both sides. The Fighting Knight women surged into second place after the opening event, while the men remained firmly in the hunt with a solid relay performance, setting an early tone as Lynn positioned itself among the conference leaders heading into day two.

- The Blue and White A-women claimed a podium finish in the opening event of the meet, the 800 Free Relay
- The combined effort of

Mariele De Santis and
Alexis Mihok earned Lynn a third place finish on opening night (7:29.10)
- The B-Squad of
Eva Stacey,
Nina Kman,
Ciara Twomey and
Krystina Zavalaga finished their heat with a combined time of 7:43.80
- After the first night of competition, the Fighting Knights sit in third with 44Â points, just six points shy of Tampa

- Lynn placed seventh in the 800 Free Relay to open the event on the men's side

Cole Faikish combined for a finals time of 6:40.88
- The Fighting Knight B-quartet of
Emre Sungur,
Efe Guler,
Kamil Geisner and
Jack Budd combined for 6:45.83 in the first heat
- Following the first event, Lynn sits in fifth place at 34Â points, just four points behind Florida Tech
