Lynn secures doubles point in 5-2 setback to No. 3 Flagler

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Lynn University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 3 Flagler College on Saturday afternoon at the Pollard Tennis Center.

The Fighting Knights move to 3-3 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn secured the doubles point, winning two of three courts
- Louay Makke and Davide Cortimiglia earned a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles
- Aymen Alimoussa and Santino Morel added a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles
- Flagler responded in singles play, claiming five of six courts to clinch the match
- Makke earned Lynn's lone singles victory at No. 1, battling to a 3-6, 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 win over Aniss Rafiq
- Alimoussa pushed 27th-ranked Simon Malis at No. 2 singles, taking the first set 6-0 before falling 7-6 (7-5), 7-5
- Lennart Ostheimer forced a third set at No. 3 singles but dropped a 0-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-6 decision
- At No. 4 singles, Cortimiglia fell 6-2, 6-4
- Morel split the opening two sets at No. 5 before falling 7-6 (7-2), 6-4
- Daniel Rila battled at No. 6 singles but came up short 7-6 (7-4), 6-2

UP NEXT: 
The Fighting Knights will return to host the University of Charleston on Monday, March 2 at a time that is to be determined
