The home of Fighting Knights basketball and volleyball

Located in the heart of the Lynn University campus, the Count and Countess de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center serves as the home court for the Fighting Knights men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball programs.


Built in 1993, the 1,000-seat facility provides an energetic home-court atmosphere for Lynn student-athletes and fans.


In 2025, the gym received updated flooring, further enhancing the home of the three athletic programs. National championship banners displayed above the bleachers celebrate the proud tradition and success of Fighting Knights athletics.

The de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center has been home to some of the most successful moments in the history of Lynn University basketball and volleyball.

 

In 2024, the Fighting Knights volleyball program captured its first NCAA national championship and first Sunshine State Conference title. In that same season, Lynn Volleyball completed the historic season with a 33-3 overall record and a 17-3 mark in conference play.

The de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center is designed to support the daily preparation and competition needs of Lynn's basketball and volleyball student-athletes.


The facility includes four locker rooms - one positioned at each corner of the court - providing teams with convenient access to the playing floor.
