Biography
Freshman (2014-15): Appeared in all eight regular season events…took to the pool for the first time in the Saint Leo/Florida Tech (10/18) tri-meet, competing in the 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM and as a member of the 200 medley relay team…set personal-best time in the 200 free against Nova Southeastern (10/30)…logged career-best times in the 50 free (26.41), 100 free (58.68), 100 breast (1:16.62), 200 breast (2:43.80) and 100 fly (1:05.64) at the NSU Shark Invite (12/18-21)…competed at the Sunshine State Conference Championship (2/19-22) and set a personal-best time in the 200 IM (2:29.88)…earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better.
High School: Attended Galion High School where she competed in cross country, swimming and track & field…was the North Central Conference 100 butterfly champion…named her team’s outstanding swimmer…member of the All-Crawford County All-Start Swim Team.
Personal: Born March 20, 1996…daughter of Michael and Monica Shifley…has two siblings; Meredith and Daniel…undecided on major…favorite quote is ‘If you don’t have confidence, you’ll always find a way not to win,’ – Carl Lewis…would most like to visit Lithuania in the future.
