Volleyball’s Siqueira Tabbed Head Volleyball Coach at AUM

Montgomery, Ala. – Lynn University assistant volleyball coach Flavia Siqueira has been named the next women's volleyball head coach at Auburn University at Montgomery, as announced by the Warhawks last night.

Siqueira has spent the last two years in Boca Raton, serving as Lynn's top assistant coach.

"I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to head coach Adam Milewski, Director of Athletics Devin Crosby, and all staff at Lynn University," Siqueira said. "I have genuinely enjoyed my time as a Fighting Knight. I also would like to thank our volleyball players for their dedication and respect during the past two seasons. It has been a pleasure working with such a nice group of young ladies."

Siqueira will head to Montgomery to guide a young Warhawks program that will enter just its third season in 2019.

"I am honored and humbled to be named the head volleyball coach at Auburn University at Montgomery," Siqueira continued. "I am very excited about the new challenge of rebuilding the volleyball program and being a part of their new journey."

She is no stranger to working with new college volleyball programs. Siqueira came to Lynn following a six-year stint as head coach of women's volleyball at the College of Central Florida. She was the inaugural head coach at Central Florida, leading the squad since the program's inception in 2011.

Siqueira found tremendous success in Ocala, Fla., earning Mid-Florida Conference Coach of the Year honors all six seasons after leading the Lady Patriots to six consecutive Mid-Florida Conference titles.

During her tenure, the Lady Patriots boasted a 188-59 overall record with a 47-3 mark in conference. The program also claimed a FCSAA State Championship, two runner-up finishes and a National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA) District P Championship.

Known for her player development, Siqueira has helped produce five NJCAA All-Americans, three Mid-Florida Conference Players of the Year, two FCSAA State Players of the Year and one NCJAA National Player of the Year during her time at CF.

Before taking the reins at CF, Siqueira spent three seasons as head coach at Northwest College and started her head coaching career in 2007 at the College of the Southwest.
