Keith Larson

Keith Larson was named the head women’s golf coach at Lynn University after serving as the men’s assistant golf coach from 2019–22 and the women’s assistant coach from 2020–22. He played a key role in the success of both programs during the 2021–22 campaign, which saw each squad reach the NCAA Regionals, highlighted by a quarterfinal finish for the women at the NCAA Championships.

Since taking over the women’s program, Larson has overseen one of the most successful stretches in program history, marked by national accolades, record-setting performances, and consistent postseason success. Lynn set a new tournament scoring record at the Lynn Invite in 2025, finishing at -2 , while also capturing a team victory on its home course.

During the 2022–23 season, the Fighting Knights produced four Men’s Scholar All-Americans and six Women’s Scholar All-Americans, along with four Women’s All-Americans. Lynn also earned National and Conference Player of the Year honors and placed four student-athletes on All-Conference teams. That season, Lynn won nine tournaments in 13 events, including the Sunshine State Conference Championship by 20 strokes and the NCAA South Region Championship by 12 shots. Larson was named SSC Coach of the Year and NCAA Division II South Region Coach of the Year for the first time. Lynn was ranked No. 1 in the nation for 22 weeks and capped the season with a Final Four appearance at the NCAA National Championship.

In 2023–24, Lynn finished the season ranked No. 8 nationally in the Scoreboard Rankings powered by clippd. The Fighting Knights won the World Golf Invitational and placed runner-up at both the UIndy Fall Invitational and the NCAA DII South Regional. The Blue & White closed the year with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA DII National Championship, including a 2-2-1 tie against Findlay in the quarterfinals of National Championship Medal Match Play. Individually, Lynn recorded five Scholar All-Americans, two All-Americans, two All-Conference selections, and claimed National and Conference Freshman of the Year honors. The team finished the season with 10 top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.

The 2024–25 campaign continued that momentum, as Lynn tallied four Scholar All-Americans, two All-Americans, and two All-Conference selections, while also earning Conference Player of the Year honors and placing one student-athlete on the National All-Freshmen Team.

Prior to leading the women’s program, Larson was part of a men’s golf staff that guided Lynn to multiple championship runs. In 2019–20, the Fighting Knights earned three wins in seven events before the pandemic-shortened season concluded, including a 14-shot victory at the Division I-hosted Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate. The spring of 2019 marked Larson’s arrival at Lynn, where the men won four of eight tournaments and captured the Division II South/Southeast Regional championship before going undefeated in match play to claim their second straight NCAA Division II National Championship.

Before joining Lynn, Larson served as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s golf programs at Seattle University. A native of the Pacific Northwest, he brings more than 13 years of coaching experience to the Fighting Knights. Larson spent eight years as the head men’s and women’s golf coach at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, Calif., and nine years as a master instructor at the Greg Coplin Golf School in Burlingame, Calif. He also served as a master instructor at the Jim McLean Golf School at PGA West Resort in La Quinta, Calif.

A Washington State University alumnus, Larson has conducted instructional and coaching clinics around the world, including in Mexico City, Thailand, Japan, and China.
