Redwine and Semprini Garner All-SSC Volleyball Honors

Orlando, Fla. - Lynn University volleyball's junior libero Lacy Redwine was named Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference, as announced by the league office on Thursday.  Freshman Chelsey Semprini was also selected to the All-Freshman Team. 

Voting for the all-conference volleyball team is conducted among the league's volleyball coaches and sports information directors.

Redwine, an All-Freshman Team selection in 2007, averaged 4.79 digs per set during the regular season.  She became just the fourth Knight in program history to amass 1,000 career digs earlier this season.

Semprini becomes the sixth LU player to collect All-Freshman honors in the past five seasons and eighth in program history.  She averaged 2.27 kills per set during the regular season at a .265 attack percentage while averaging 0.72 blocks a frame.

Lynn returns to action on Thursday, November 19, at 12 pm againstWest Florida in the quarterfinals of the 2009 NCAA South Region Tournament.
