BOCA RATON - Lynn University's men's basketball team fell to Nova Southeastern, 78-69, Wednesday night in a Sunshine State Conference matchup at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.  The Fighting Knights fall to 3-13 overall with a 1-5 SSC mark while the Sharks improve to 11-5 and 4-2 in the SSC.

Jovan Robinson and Josh Garcia both went for 17 points and combined for eight three pointers.  Cameron McCallum also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and dished out a career-high seven assists.  Chris Hall was also in double figures with 11 points.

LU went into the intermission with a 28-25 lead but Nova shot a blistering 58.3% from the field and made all 21 of its free throws in the second half.  The Sharks shot 46.2% from the field on the night and made 23-of-24 from the charity stripe while the Fighting Knights shot 42.1% from the floor and 11-of-14 from the line.

The Fighting Knights got their lead up to seven, 37-30, early in the second half on a trey by Garcia but the lead evaporated quickly as NSU went on a 17-2 run over the next six minutes.

Down seven, Lynn would pull to within one at 49-48 with 8:50 to go but the Sharks scored nine unanswered to seal the victory.

The Blue and White are back in action Saturday night when they travel to Barry University on January 22 for a 4 pm tip.  Fans can follow both games by logging onto www.LynnFightingKnights.com and clicking on "Game Central."
