SAINT LEO, Fla.—After allowing a goal less than 10:00 minutes into the game, the Lynn University men's soccer team could not counter the rest of the match and fell to the Saint Leo Lions 1-0 on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference play.

In the 10th minute, Saint Leo's Daniel Valdez headed in the game winner off an assist from Edgar Herrera. The goal was Valdez's only shot in the match. Saint Leo could only muster 12 total shots with five coming on goal.

The Fighting Knights out-shot Saint Leo with 16 and four on goal. Eight of the Blue & White's shots came in the first half and eight in the second period. Lynn keeper Matt DiCerbo took the loss and totaled four saves.

The next game for Lynn is Tuesday, October 11, in the friendly confines of the McCusker Sports Complex with kick-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. versus the Eckerd Tritons.
