Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla.—Lynn University's volleyball team lost to Palm Beach Atlantic 3-1, (22-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-22), winning the first set before dropping the final three. Liga Strautniece tied a career-high with 17 kills while also having 13 digs for her third double-double of the season. With the loss the Fighting Knights stand at 16-10 and 3-5 in the Sunshine State Conference
The regional clash began with a 25-22 victory for the Blue & White. Hitting a match-high 18 kills on a .459 clip Lynn managed to hang with the Sailfish, never trailing by more than one point in the set. Strautniece led the squad with seven kills while Claire Angelich had three kills and three blocks.
Lynn led Palm Beach Atlantic early in the second set lost 25-18 as the Sailfish evened the match 1-1. Marissa Tandron recorded double digit assists for the second straight set with 10, Strautniece had five kills and two blocks. Lynn never led in the third set as PBA took a 2-1 lead in the match, besting LU 25-25
PBA finished the contest with a 25-22 fourth set. Angie Caple had four kills in the finale with one block.
Katie Knight tallied 15 digs, seven kills, three assisted blocks and a career-high three service aces. Niki Haben had a team-high 25 digs with a pair of assists.
Volleyball is on the road next weekend at Eckerd on Saturday, November 1. First serve is set for 7 pm.
