Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla.- Marissa Tandron collected her 1,000th career assist in a 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-19) victory against Florida Tech (15-11, 5-7 SSC) on Satruday afternoon in the de Hoernle Center. The Fighting Knights advance to 17-13 and 4-8 in the Sunshine State Conference.
Lynn opened the match on a 5-1 run, though the Panthers quickly rallied to keep the match close. LU took the first set 25-21 to take a 1-0 lead in the match. Claire Angelich led the Blue & White with four kills on a .375 attack percentage. Tandron dished out nine assists while senior Mandy McIntosh had a set-high five digs.
The Fighting Knights came out hot in the second game when they carried over the momentum from the first set. LU eased into a 25-14 victory in the second set, to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Caple tallied a set-high four kills while Tandron recorded her 1000th assist on the season in the win.
Lynn trailed early in the third set but a 7-1 run gave the Blue & White a 14-12 lead and they didn't turn back. Lynn cruised into a 25-19 win to complete the sweep of Florida Tech. Liga Strautniece had a set-high five kills while Tandron dished out another 13 assists.
Strautniece had a team-high 11 kills for a .310 clip while senior Sara Aloisio added 5 kills with a team-high .566 attack percentage. Tandron had a game-high 27 assists.
