Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University began the second half of Sunshine State Conference play on Friday night in the de Hornle Center with a 3-1 loss to Florida Southern (25-27, 25-17, 25-21, 25-20). With the loss Lynn falls to 10-10 overall and 3-6 in the SCC.
Lydia West and Claire Angelich both posted nine kills with two solo blocks apiece in the loss.
Marissa Tandron was effective on both offense and defense, leading the team in digs with 20 and assists with 36 for her fourth double-double of the season.

Lizzy Raffa all chipped in double digit digs with 16, 15 and 13.
In the first set the Fighting Knights scored six of seven points in the middle of the game to go up 11-7. Lynn held on to the lead until Florida Southern (17-4, 8-1 SSC) knotted up the score at 23-23. The sides went back and forth over the following four points until an Angelich kill and a Mocs' handling error put the Blue & White up by one set.
Following the victory Lynn scored the opening three points in the set but Florida Southern quickly tied up the score at 5-5. Lynn lost the lead at 6-7 and never was able to tie up the score. In the third stanza Lynn was able to hang with the visitors until a late 5-0 run put them behind 20-16. With the score at 24-18 West provided a solo block followed by an
Elyse Fleck kill to bring the Knights within four, but the Mocs scored the next point.
Florida Southern scored the first two points of the final set and never trailed. Lynn was held to a night-low .059 and nine kills in the frame.
