Box Score Winter Park, Fla.- Lynn University's men's basketball lost, 73-49, to Rollins on the road Wednesday night. The Blue & White fall to 7-16, 1-12 in Sunshine State Conference play. Aaron Harrison led the team shooting 6-for-13 from the field and five rebounds. Rollins advances to 13-11 overall and 7-7 in SSC action.
The Fighting Knights and Tars exchanged the lead seven times in the first half. Lynn's first lead would come with 11:23 remaining in the half, 11-10. A trey by Josh Soto would put the Blue & White ahead, 14-11, but Rollins would answer back. Aaron Harrison tied the game,23-all, with just over five minutes to play with a three-point shot from just in front of the Rollins bench. From there RC would take a seven-point lead but Lynn finished the half with six straight points before a pair of free throws by the Tars would send both teams to the locker rooms with Rollins on top, 32-29.
Harrison led Lynn with 12 points in the first half, helping the Blue & White to a 45.8 shooting percent from the floor. Rollins shot 44.8 percent and was lead by Mitch Woods. The Fighting Knights slightly out rebounded the home team, 15-14, in the half.
Rollins opened the second half on a 15-0 before a put-back by Pavle Raickovic would help refocus the Fighting Knights with just under 14 minutes in regulation. Rollins' defense held the Blue & White to just 11 points through the first 15 minutes of the second half while the Tars ignited their offense, shooting 60.7 percent in the half.
Overall Lynn shot 38.8 percent from the field while the Tars shot 52.6 percent. Mitch Woods scored a game-high 26 points for Rollins while two other players scored in double figures. Harrison had a team-high 14 points for the Blue & White while Kaleb Clyburn and Fred Landers chipped in nine and eight points, respectively.
