Sharks Sweep Volleyball in SSC Opener

Box Score

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – On a short turnaround following Friday night's battle, the Lynn University volleyball team could not find any rhythm Saturday in its Sunshine State Conference opener. Lynn fell in straight sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-18) to host Nova Southeastern University (8-1, 2-0 SSC), dropping to 5-3 (0-1 SSC) on the season.

The Blue & White middles carried the lion's share of the work in the setback. Claire Angelich led the way on both sides of the net, posting 11 kills and four blocks with a .321 hitting clip. Lydia West chipped in nine kills on 19 attacks.

Marissa Tandron reached the 30-assist plateau for the fourth consecutive match and Katie Knight fought for 16 digs.

The Fighting Knights are back on the road for all of next weekend, starting with a trip to Florida Southern on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m.
