Lakeland, Fla. – Lynn University's volleyball team faced a tough challenge Friday night as ninth-ranked Florida Southern College swept the Fighting Knights (25-17, 25-16, 25-13) in Sunshine State Conference action from Jenkins Field House.

Lynn falls to 5-4 overall and 0-2 in the SSC, while Florida Southern remains unbeaten at 11-0 (2-0 SSC).

Nicol Colonna matched her season-best with seven kills and led the defense with a season-high 11 digs. Cleuza Porto was the only other Fighting Knight to post a positive attack percentage, finishing with six kills and adding four digs.

Cristina Llorens recorded 10 digs on defense and Marissa Tandron finished with 14 assists.

Lynn hits the court again tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 26 for a SSC contest at Florida Tech. First serve is slated for 4 p.m.
