HOW IT HAPPENED
- First Quarter: Palm Beach Atlantic controlled the opening tip, and Sailfish forward Nkiru Anyagaligbo came away the game's first bucket six seconds in. Charla Nelson-James put the Blue and White on the board by turning a layup into a three-point play. Bria Huffmann and Nina Guillaume combined for eight points and four rebounds, but Lynn missed all five of their shots from behind the arc. PBA led for 9:22 of the first ten minutes, carrying a 20-15 lead into the second chapter.
- Second Quarter: The Fighting Knights' offense was slowed in the second chapter, as three players combined for all of the team's eight points. Anyagaligbo and leading scorer Janelle Cannon each entered double-digit scoring, and the Sailfish sunk a three on each of their last three possessions of the half. After Lynn was held scoreless for the final 6:33 of the period, Palm Beach Atlantic worked to a 41-23 halftime advantage.
- Third Quarter: Huffmann and Nelson-James helped the Fighting Knights tally the first four points after the intermission, but PBA's Nina Krstic answered with four points of her own. The home five pulled away, as Cannon knocked down her third trifecta of the night to extend the Sailfish lead to as many as 25. Guillaume become the first Fighting Knight with ten points, and Lynn posted their most productive of the first three quarters. PBA led 60-39 entering the final frame.
- Fourth Quarter: The Blue and White started the fourth on a 22-7 run that featured six different players finding the bottom of the net. Zachara Bailey capped the run with back-to-back three-balls that cut the deficit to as little as five. PBA regained a bit of their offensive rhythm, as Krstic and Hannah Grim connected on consecutive shots from behind the arc. The Sailfish rode that momentum for the duration of the game, coming away with the season sweep of the Fighting Knights.
