HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set 1 | Feeling the effects of a five-setter the night before, the Fighting Knights got off to a slow start in the opening set as the Sailfish pulled away early. The defense was active with 18 digs but six blocks from PBA eliminated offensive chances.
- Set 2 | Lynn picked it up in the second, holding leads early on and trading points with the Sailfish. Three consecutive points from Lydia West cut the deficit to two (23-21) and forced the home team into a timeout, but PBA was able to close out with a pair of kills, 25-22.
- Set 3 | Despite a sub-par hitting performance, the Fighting Knights were able to grind out a 25-22 triumph in the third. Down 19-15, Lynn fired off a 7-0 run to stay alive in the match. Nicol Colonna put down six kills (.385) while Cristina Llorens chipped in four.
- Set 4 | The Sailfish turned up the offense in the fourth to close out the match, tallying 14 kills to just three errors (.407). West was perfect on the attack for Lynn in the final frame but it was too little too late.
