Box Score West Palm Beach, Fla. – Lynn University's 21st-ranked men's soccer team tied the University of Tampa 0-0 over 110 minutes but lost 4-2 in penalty kicks in the Sunshine State Conference Championship semifinals on Friday evening.  The Fighting Knights move to 11-3-2 overall and await their fate for the NCAA Division II Tournament

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn had several second half and overtime chances but hit two posts, a cross bar and Tampa keeper Jake Richards made five of his six stops, not including PKs.
 
- The Fighting Knights outshot Tampa 20-9 with Alexander Roth stopping three shots and Richards six.
 
- Alun Webb and Niklas Tasky converted on their PK attempts but Tomer Bitton and Max Herbert were stopped by Richards.
 
- Marcel Salokat, Felipe Desousa, Markus Woldsund and Lewis Sugden scored on their chances on net.
 
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the second consecutive year Lynn-Tampa has gone to PKs during the SSC Championship.  Last season Lynn claimed the SSC title with a 5-3 PK advantage.
 
- The last seven meetings between these two teams have been decided by a goal or less.  Lynn has gone 3-1-3 in those contests and held a slim 8-6 scoring advantage.
 
- This is the 11th shutout of the year for the Blue and White and Roth, the most under head coach John Rootes since 2012 and the most by a single Fighting Knights goalkeeper since 2001.
