STATS OF THE GAME:
- The first half saw each team get a few opportunities, but it was the Sailfish who were able to get on the scoreboard in the 42nd minute when Giancarlo Triulzi put one past Patrick Nettekoven to take the 1-0 lead. The goal ended Nettekoven's streak of three consecutive shutouts.
- The second half saw Quenzi Huerman add an insurance goal in the 63rd minute to put the game out of reach.
- After the goal, Lynn defender Rodrigo Fernandez was issued his second yellow card, meaning that the Fighting Knights had to play the rest of the game with just 10 players. They were unable to produce any real scoring opportunities, but the defense held strong to keep the game at just a two-goal deficit.
- Alexandre Horveno led Lynn with four shots and two on goal, but both were turned away by Sailfish goalkeeper Guilermo Falo Ejea.
