Box Score 2 Winter Haven, Florida – The Fighting Knights finished the SSC vs GSC South Region Crossover by splitting their final two games. They battled with No. 10 West Florida, but after winning the first set, they were unable to keep up the momentum. However, they came out for their final game against Union and dominated to the tune of a 3-0 victory to leave the crossover 2-1 overall.

STATS OF THE MATCH (GAME 1):
- The first set was as exciting as they come, with both teams playing at an unbelievably high level. Both teams hit over .300, with Lynn hitting .371 and West Florida hitting .343. The set was back and forth all the way through, with the Argonauts opening up a 23-21 late. The Fighting Knights won back the serve, and Isabella Gentile came in off the bench for three perfect serves that capped a 4-0 run for the Fighting Knights and gave them the first set 25-23.
- The Argonauts came out hot in the second set and outhit the Fighting Knights on their way to a 25-17 to even up the game at one.
- From there, it was all West Florida. The team continued to hit above .250, and the Fighting Knights were unable to find an answer. Lynn fell in the third and fourth sets to drop the match and end their six-game winning streak.
- Nadia Lindner once again led the team in kills, this time recording 14. She was the only Fighting Knight to record double-digits in the category. Lauren Odom posted seven kills and a .375 hit percentage for the game. Victoria Macaluso was right behind with a hitting percentage of .364 for the match. Odom also led the way with three blocks, while Macaluso and Milica Kusmuk each posted two.
- Emily Edwards continued her consistent play at the setter position, recording a total of 24 assists in the match. She also posted seven digs.
- Sonja Udovcic led the team with 14 digs, one more than Ruth Zijlstra. Udovcic also earned nine kills, one more than Kusmuk.
STATS OF THE MATCH (GAME 2):
- The Fighting Knights wasted no time starting a new winning streak, dominationg Union in a 3-0 straight-set victory. For the match, Lynn held Union to a hitting percentage of .029, while hitting .308 themselves.
- The first set saw Lynn hit .425, while recording 19 kills and just two errors on their way to a 25-15 win.
- Things only got better from there, as the Fighting Knights hit an astounding .536 in the second set. Mya James and Bridgette O'Connor recorded their first kills of the season in the 25-10 win.
- The third set was the toughest of the night, with Union leading late 20-18. But just like in the first set of the day, Gentile came in off the bench to serve and dig Lynn out of the hole for a 25-22 win.
- Udovcic hit .458, her second-best mark of the season, and she recorded 12 kills and just one error. She also had two service aces and five digs.
- Lindnder again led the Fighting Knights with 14 kills, while Morgan Browne added six of her own.
- Adrianna Casados led the way in assists (20), while Edwards recorded 19.
- Zijlstra recorded 19 of Lynn's 47 digs. She also had a service ace.
- Kusmuk and Macaluso led the team with three blocks each. Kusmuk added four kills, while Macaluso added two.
- Odom hit .333 and finished with three kills, two blocks and one dig.
UP NEXT:
The Fighting Knights will jump right back into SSC play on Tuesday, Oct. 26 with an away match at No. 17 Nova Southeastern. Lynn will be looking for revenge after falling in straight-sets to the Sharks earlier in the year.
