STATS OF THE GAME:

  • It was a very physical first half that saw only one more shot on goal than yellow card issued. All four chances came for the Fighting Knights, but they were unable to get on the scoreboard before the break.
  • The best chance of the first half came with five minutes remaining when Alexandre Horveno passed one right in front of goal to Jake Jensen, who pushed the ball just high over an open net.
  • The Fighting Knights turned up the pressure in the second half, and they were immediately rewarded when Lukas Ostermann found the back of the net in the 48th minute. It was his fourth goal of the season.
  • Patrick Nettekoven earned his fifth shutout of the season turning away all three shots he faced in the game.
  • Lynn outshot Barry 11-8, and they put seven shots on goal compared to the Bucs' three.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

  • It was a chippy game from start to finish with a total of 10 yellow cards issued to the two teams.
  • Lynn, recently ranked No. 1 in the South region and No. 3 in the nation, remains the only unbeaten team in SSC play.
  • The five shutouts for Nettekoven leave him in a tie for first in the conference with Tampa's Adam Forster for most clean sheets this season.
