Big performances help Fighting Knights past Florida Tech 3-1

STATS OF THE MATCH:

  • In the first set, the Fighting Knights had incredible performances with multiple players recording multiple kills. Lauren Odom and Nadia Lindner recorded three each. Morgan Browne, Riley Nieporte, and Victoria Macaluso recorded two kills, with Nieporte and Macaluso both having service aces. The Fighting Knights won the first set 25-16.
  • In the second set, the Panthers battled back extending the set. Odom recorded four kills. Macaluso and Lindner added three, with Lindner adding an ace. Florida Tech won the second set 28-26.
  • In the third set, the Panthers kept up the pressure, but the Fighting Knights were only going to allow one set tonight. The third set saw Browne record four kills and Macaluso trailing her with three. Odom would also add a block. The Fighting Knights won 25-23.
  • In the fourth set, the Fighting Knights would out last the Panthers. Lindner would add five more kills to her night. Behind Lindner was Nieporte adding four kills and an ace. Ruth Zijlstra's second ace of the set would seal the victory. The Fighting Knights won the fourth set 25-19.
  • The Fighting Knights recorded 58 kills to the Panthers 44. The Fighting Knights would also lead with 13 service aces to the Panthers 6.
  • Lindner would lead the Fighting Knights in kills with 12, followed by Browne (11), with Odom and Macaluso (10) rounding the top four. Nieporte would lead the team in aces (4), while also having 7 kills.
