STATS OF THE GAME:

  • The Fighting Knights fell to Colorado Christian, thanks in large part to a 19-9 fourth-quarter run by the Cougars, which gave them a 63-57 victory.
  • Lynn led most of the way and was able to build up a lead of as many as 11 in the second half, but every time it looked like the Fighting Knights were going to pull away, the Cougars found a way to respond and get within striking distance.
  • For the second consecutive game, Rachel Romich led the way in scoring for the Fighting Knights, putting together another 16-point performance.
  • Kennedi Philson was the second-leading scorer for the Fighting Knights putting up 14 points for the game. She was also tied for the team lead with Trinity Edwards with five rebounds. In all, the Fighting Knights were outrebounded by 12 on the night.
  • A big area where the Cougars outscored the Fighting Knights was from the free throw line. Colorado Christian attempted eight more free throws than Lynn, shooting 11-17 from the line compared to Lynn's 4-9 performance.
  • Coming off the bench, Brianna Sliwinski continued the strong start to her career, putting up 11 points and pulling down two rebounds.
  • Dani Lozzi led the way with five assists, while Loie Webb added three of her own. As a team the Fighting Knights dished out more assists, registering 15 to the Cougars' 13.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

  • Though this was Colorado Christian's first win of the season, they had only played teams ranked nationally in the top 10, including the number one team in the country.

UP NEXT:

The Fighting Knights will open up conference play at home on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m. against Eckerd.
