Box Score Lakeland, Florida - The Fighting Knights used some of their longest runs of the season to defeat Florida Southern for the second time this year and move one step closer to qualifying for the postseason.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The first set saw the most epic comeback the Fighting Knights have pulled off this season. Down 24-18 and looking destined to go down 1-0, Lynn woke up and rattled off eight straight points to take the set 26-24. Nadia Lindner served seven times in a row, and she recorded two service aces in the run.
- The second set was all Mocs, with Florida Southern jumping out to a lead that they never relinquished. They would win the set 25-15 to even the match at 1-1.
- The third set was back and forth early with teams exchanging points until the score was tied 9-9. However, the Fighting Knights used a 9-3 run to open a lead that the Mocs were not able to come back from. Lynn would win the set 25-18 and take the 2-1 lead.
- In the fourth set, the Fighting Knights sealed the deal with a dominant game that saw them put the Mocs away 25-19.
- Lauren Odom and Nadia Lindner each recorded 11 kills to lead the way for the Fighting Knights. Odom also recorded four blocks, while Lindner recorded 10 digs.
- Sonja Udovcic put together a seven-kill, 13-dig effort. She also recorded two blocks and an ace.
- Emily Edwards recorded a double-double for the second consecutive game, posting 11 assists and 10 digs. However, it was Adrianna Casados who led the way with 15 assists.
- Victoria Macaluso and Morgan Brown each recorded three blocks.
- Isabella Gentile recorded eight digs, five assists and two service aces in the win.
- Off the bench, Paige Barash had her best game of the season. The team relied on her in key serving situations, and she did not disappoint. She recorded a total of four service aces, including two in the clinching set.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- When the first NCAA South Region ranking was released on Wednesday, the Fighting Knights were ranked sixth and the Mocs were ranked seventh. With just eight teams qualifying for the regional tournament, this win was a huge one for the Fighting Knights as they look to solidify their spot in the postseason.
- Odom now has 118 total blocks this season, which moves her into third place on the list of most blocks in a single season. With just nine more she will overtake the record which is shared by herself and Daris Rodriguez.
UP NEXT:
The Fighting Knights will remain on the road for matchups next weekend at Barry and Florida Tech. They will take on the Bucs on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. and the Panthers on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m.
