Tampa, Florida – Despite a tough first half vs Tampa, the Fighting Knights rallied late, but it was not enough to win.

STATS OF THE GAME:

• In the first half, it was Tampa who pulled away leading 47-32.
• Leading the Fighting Knights were Brandon Bornelus and Branden Ellis with six points. Bornelus also added three rebounds and two assists.
• Trailing them was Christian Peevy with five points while matching Bornelus' three rebounds and two assists.
• The Fighting Knights' comeback attempt came up just short as they outscored the Spartans 44-32 in the second half.
• Peevy got going in the second half. He led the Fighting Knights with 15 points and six rebounds, shooting 5-7 from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line.
• Behind him in the second half was Tommie Luke with eight points and three steals.
• Cameron Gaines matched Peevy's six rebounds while adding six points and two blocks in the second half.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE

• The Fighting Knights usually dominate their opponent from the free throw line, but they only led 70.4% to 70%.
• Lynn did excel in the steals and blocks columns, however, besting Tampa 11 to seven and six to two respectively.
• Peevy's 20 points keeps him in second place in the SSC in points per game (22.7). His 5-6 on free throws keeps him at the top in free throw percentage (.943).
• Gaines' two blocks in the game have him in first place in the SSC in blocks per game (2.0), while his nine rebounds keep him at fourth in the SSC in rebounds per game (9.0).
