  • Florida National evened things up just 15 minutes later when Constantino Higa was able to beat Patrick Nettekoven in the 27th minute.
  • In the 39th minute, Lynn regained the lead behind a Lukas Hombach penalty kick that found the back of the net. He was the hero in Lynn's last game, scoring in double-overtime to give the Fighting Knights a 1-0 win over Illinois-Springfield.
  • In the second half, the Fighting Knights looked poised to pour on the goals, but Conquistadors' goalkeeper Rodrigo Festuccia stopped numerous chances to keep his team within one.
  • In the 76th minute, Kyle Patton was able to give the Fighting Knights some breathing room, striking a beautiful goal past the diving Festuccia.
  • In all, the Fighting Knights outshot the Conquistadors 14-6. Festuccia finished the game with seven saves for Florida National, while Nettekoven turned away one of the two shots on goal that he faced in the game. The Conquistadors did not attempt a shot on goal in the entire second half.
