- The Fighting Knights started out strong against Angelo St. finishing the first set 25-23. The teams battled throughout the opener, but Lynn's .394 hitting percentage pushed them to the victory and a 1-0 lead.
- Angelo St. came out fired up for the second set and matched the Fighting Knight's energy from start to finish. The defensive efforts of Emily Edwards and Sonja Udovcic, who had six and three digs, respectively, kept the Fighting Knights in the game, but after a long rally, the Belles took the lead and closed out the second set with a 25-19 victory.
- With the score evened up at 1-1, the two teams battled back and forth in the third set. After long volleys and hard-earned points, Lynn edged their way to the 26-24 victory.
- However, the effort expended in the third set proved to be too much for the Fighting Knights to overcome. They fell in the last two sets of the match 25-21 and 15-8.
- Udovcic, Nadia Lindner, Riley Nieporte, and Milica Kusmuk all recorded double-digit kills.
- Victoria Macaluso finished the match with a .294 hitting percentage.
- On defense, Ruth Zijlstra earned 18 digs, and Lauren Odom recorded 7 of the team's 14 blocks.
- Setters Emily Edwards and Adrianna Casados balanced the offense with 29 and 23 assists, respectively.
STATS OF THE MATCH (GAME 2):
- Perhaps tired from their epic matchup against Angelo St., the Fighting Knights fell in three sets to Regis in their final match of the day.
- The first set was the closest, going into tiebreaker serves, but Regis was able to come away with the 27-25 win.
- In the second set, Regis jumped out to a big lead and the Fighting Knights were never able to bounce back. Lynn dropped the set 25-19.
- In the third set, it looked like the tides had turned as Lynn jumped out to an early lead. However, it was short-lived, as Regis stormed back and won the set 25-23.
