Lakeland, Florida - The Fighting Knights took down Florida Southern for their third-straight win of the season. Though the Mocassins are a conference rival, the game will not count toward conference records.

STATS OF THE GAME:

• Kyle Patton's goal in the 72nd minute was the difference maker and all the Fighting Knights needed to leave Lakeland victorious. Patton now has two goals the season, tied for fifth in the SSC, and he has scored in back-to-back games. 
• Sinisa Sprecakovic was credited with the assist on the goal. It was his first assist and his first point of the 2021 campaign. 
• In all, the Fighting Knights put up 20 shots, with nine on goal, but Florida Southern goalie Mars Gohier recorded eight saves to keep his team in the game. 
• Lynn goalkeeper Patrick Nettekoven recorded three saves for his second clean sheet as a Fighting Knight. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Lynn moves to 25-3 all-time against Florida Southern. This is their third-best record against any SSC rival. Only their 12-0 mark against Embry-Riddle and their 30-2 record against Eckerd are better. 
• The Fighting Knights have put up 19 shots on goal in their last two games. They currently lead the SSC in shots on goal (35), and they are second in the conference in shots (66), shots per game (16.50), and shots on goal per game (8.75).
