Box Score Boca Raton, Florida - After returning home from a long weekend in Colorado, the Fighting Knights struggled to gain any momentum in their home-opener against Nova Southeastern on Tuesday night. Lynn fell in straight sets as they dropped their fifth-straight match and fell to 0-1 in SSC play.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- In the first set, almost nothing went right for the Fighting Knights. They fell behind by as many as 15 points, and they didn't hit double-digits until the Sharks had already made it to 21.
- In the second set, the Fighting Knights came out fired up. They played Nova Southeastern close throughout the first half of the set, but the Sharks used a 4-0 run to open up a 13-8 lead. The gap proved to be too much for the Fighting Knights to overcome, as they fell in the set 25-20.
- With their backs against the wall, the Fighting Knights looked destined to leave set three with a win. However, after pulling out to a 21-17 lead, the Fighting Knights dropped eight of the final nine points of the game to give the Sharks the straight-set victory.
- Sonja Udovcic led the way for the Fighting Knights with eight kills and 10.0 points.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Udovcic and Lauren Odom were honored before the game for breaking numerous Lynn University career records. With two solo blocks on Tuesday night, Odom is now just three solo blocks away from tying the career record in that category as well.
