Box Score Fort Lauderdale, Florida - The Fighting Knights went down to Fort Lauderdale for a battle with No. 9 Nova Southeastern. They fell behind almost immediately, but they battled back and pulled out the win in overtime.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- The game didn't start out favorable for the Fighting Knights, as Matty Cornish found the back of the net for the Sharks in just the fourth minute. It was the only goal of the first half.
- From there, the Fighting Knights searched for the equalizer, putting two shots on net throughout the rest of the half, but both were turned away by Sharks goalkeeper Alberto Ciroi.
- In the second half, the Fighting Knights scored their first goal of the game when Kyle Patton found the back of the net on a beautiful pass from Alexandre Horveno in the 56th minute.
- The two teams battled back and forth for the rest of the second half, with the Sharks doubling up Lynn's shots eight to four for the final 45 minutes, but Lynn equalling them in shots on goal with two.
- Just 1:41 in overtime, Horveno once again assisted a Lynn goal scorer, this time finding Lukas Ostermann for the game-winner to send the Fighting Knights back to Boca Raton undefeated in conference play.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Horveno's two assists put him atop the conference in assists this season. He currently has five on the year and is averaging .833 per game.
- Ostermann's goal moved him into a tie with Lynn teammate Lukas Hombach for sixth in the SSC in goals this season.
- Nova Southeastern is one of two nationally ranked top 10 opponents on Lynn's schedule this season. They will take on current No. 5 Palm Beach Atlantic later in the year.
UP NEXT:
The Fighting Knights will look to stay undefeated in the SSC when they travel to Rollins to take on the Tars on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.
