HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first quarter was back and forth with Lynn building a 12-6 lead. However, the Sailfish were able to close the period on an 8-2 run to knot it up at 14 heading into the second.
- Palm Beach Atlantic came out on fire in the second quarter and scored the first seven points of the period. Their lead grew to as many as nine. However, down 25-16, the Fighting Knights sparked a 9-0 run, with all nine points coming from Romich and Kennedi Philson. The Sailfish hit a three after that to go back up 28-25, but the Fighting Knights answered with a 6-0 run to enter the break up 31-28.
- Romich led the way for the Fighting Knights with 15 points in the first half. She was the only player to score in double-digits for either team during the first 20.
- In the third quarter, the Fighting Knights outscored the Sailfish 12-7 on their way to a 43-35 lead. In the period, Brianna Sliwinski led the way with five points for Lynn.
- In the fourth quarter, Lynn built their lead up to as many as 14 points. However, with Lynn up 60-50 with 3:14 left, the Sailfish went on an 8-0 run in just over two minutes to cut the lead to two.
- With 11 seconds left, reigning SSC Defensive Player of the Week Uloma Enyogasi knocked down two clutch free throws to put the game out of reach.
- Romich was the only Fighting Knight to score in double-digits, as the rest of the team had a balanced scoring attack. Enyogasi scored nine, Loie Webb and Sliwinski ended with seven, and Philson finished with six.
- Dani Lozzi continued to expand on her SSC-leading 3.2 steals per game by recording another six. There are still plenty of games left to be played, but at her current pace, she's got the third-best mark for a player in a single season in Lynn History. Her six steals were tied for the team-high with Romich. Trinity Edwards added three to help Lynn to 18 steals as a team compared to just 11 for PBA.
- Lozzi also led the way with seven rebounds, including four on the offensive glass. Sliwinski and Kelsi Fizer each had five total boards.
- Webb recorded three assists, while Fizer, Enyogasi and Lozzi each recorded two.
- With this win, Lynn moves into a tie for seventh place in the SSC with Embry-Riddle.
