HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn struggled out of the gates, giving up the first 11 points of the game. Because of this, coach Jeff Price elected to do a complete line change and replace all five starters. It worked early, as the Fighting Knights scored 14 of the next 20 points to cut the lead to just three.
- However, after that, the Panthers put together an 18-3 run to open up a 38-17 lead. The Fighting Knights would fail to get it any closer than 14 for the remainder of the half. They went into the break down 44-29.
- The Fighting Knights were able to put a dent in the lead in the second half, cutting the deficit to 10 on multiple occasions.
- Finally, with 9:34 remaining in the game, the Fighting Knights cut the lead to single digits, when Branden Ellis made two free throws to bring the score to 58-50. The Panthers would stretch the lead all the way back to 17 with 5:21 remaining.
- Lynn answered with a 22-8 run to bring the score to 81-78 with just 23 seconds remaining. However, that's as close as the game would get. Ultimately, Florida Tech would take the win 84-78.
- Brandon Bornelus led the way with 19 points. He was also one of three Fighting Knights to record three assists, joined by Ellis and Servet Kurnaz.
- Jamison Evans scored 13, while Ellis scored 12 and Kurnaz scored 11. Ellis led the team with eight rebounds, while Kurnaz pulled down seven.
- As a team, the Fighting Knights shot 21-26 from the free throw line, including 18-22 in the second half.
- Cameron Gaines had four blocks in the loss.
