STATS OF THE GAME:

  • The Fightings Knights were able to keep the game close in the first quarter with their hot shooting. Lynn shot 50% in the first quarter to trail 17-13 at the end of the first.
  • Lynn exploded in the second quarter, shooting 78% in the quarter. Dani Lozzi and Kennedy Philson led the way in the quarter combining for 14 points, without missing one shot from the floor. Loie Webb left her imprint with six points in the quarter.
  • Lynn stormed back after a slow first quarter. The Fightings Knights scored 27 points in the second to take a 40-30 lead at halftime.
  • Philson had a big first half with nine points and four rebounds. Lozzi and Rachel Romich each had seven points in the half.
  • The Fighting Knights picked up where they left off in the first half, shooting a blistering 58% in the quarter. Lynn had 59-43 advantage after three, with Romich leading the way in the quarter with six points and two assists.
  • Webb had big fourth quarter, scoring nine points. She was followed by Romich with five, along with three assists.
  • Lynn kept their foot on the gas in the fourth, picking up their third straight win 81-54 over Saint Leo.
  • Romich led the Fighting Knights in scoring with 18 points, while also dishing out a season-high seven assists. Webb finished the game right being her with 15 points and six assists.
  • Lozzi and Philson both finished the game with 13 points, only missing two shots between them. Lozzi also contributed eight rebounds and four steals.
  • Lynn held Saint Leo to 35% shooting compared to 59% shooting by the Fighting Knights for the game. Lynn won the battle on the backboard 38-25, to go along with 42 bench points.

UP NEXT:

The Fighting Knights will be at home against Nova Southeastern on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 5:30 p.m. Lynn lost the first meeting 67-59.
