Fighting Knights lose to No. 1 Sharks

Boca Raton, Florida – In an intense game against the No. 1 Sharks, the Fighting Knights lost 96-66.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Fighting Knights out the gate were off to a quick start going up 3-0, but the Sharks came back quickly as Lynn got into foul trouble.
  • Christian Peevy led the Fighting Knights in the first half with ten points, while shooting 5-8 and adding two steals.
  • Just behind him for the first half was Brandon Bornelus with six points and two assists, he ended with nine points.. 
  • In the second half, the the Fighting Knights added 38 points, but it was not enough as the Sharks put up 44.
  • Jamison Evans had a stellar second half where he recorded all 16 of his points shooting 5-8, including 4-6 from beyond the arc. He also shot 2-2 from FT.
  • Peevy put up an additional eight points while addng two assists and a block, ending with 18 points .
  • Montez Leath who played the most minutes of the second half for Lynn, put up six points in the half, including shooting 3-4 from FT and adding two steals. He finished with seven points in the game.

UP NEXT:

The Fighting Knights will play their final game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. against Rollins. Senior day festivities will take place prior to the game.
