Box Score Lakeland, Florida – The Fighting Knights tried to battle back late in the game, but a surge early in the second half by the Mocs proved too much for Lynn to handle.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first half, Lynn led by as many as nine, while the Mocs led by as many as five, and it was Florida Southern who took the 38-36 lead into the halftime locker room.
- The Fighting Knights trailed despite shooting 52% from the field and holding the Mocs to just 36.6%. Lynn also outrebounded the Mocs 21-19, but they also turned the ball over 10 times, while just forcing two from Florida Southern.
- Christian Peevy led the Fighting Knights with 12 points in the first half and he pulled down eight rebounds, all on the defensive end.
- Tommie Luke had seven points heading into the break, while Brandon Bornelus had five.
- In the second half, the Fighting Knights tied the game at 38, but the Mocs answered with a 16-5 run to open up their largest lead of the day at 54-43. The Fighting Knights were never able to answer the run, and despite cutting the lead to six numerous times, they never got any closer than that.
- Peevy finished with 29 points and 11 rebounds to record yet another double-double on the season. He finished the game a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line.
- Bornelus was the only other Fighting Knight in double figures, scoring 12. Cameron Gaines and Jamison Evans each scored eight. Gaines also pulled down seven boards, while Evans was tied with Bornelus for most assists on the team (3).
