STATS OF THE GAME:

  • The Fightings Knights got off to a slow start in their second meeting against Embry-Riddle. They used their defense to stop the bleeding, holding Embry-Riddle to 29.4% from the floor in the first quarter.
  • Lynn punched back in the second quarter, outscoring Embry-Riddle 13-12. Uloma Enyogasi led the way in the second quarter, with nine points and three rebounds.
  • In the third quarter Lynn came out sluggish, with Embry-Riddle shooting 50% from the floor in the quarter.
  • Rachel Romich scored five points, while also grabbing one steal in the third to keep things close.
  • Lynn found new life in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. The Fighting Knights went on a 14-6 flurry to cut the deficit down to seven.
  • Embry-Riddle closed on an 18-7 run in the final four minutes, to secure a 68-51 win.
  • Loie Webb and Kelsi Fizer led the way in the fourth quarter, combining for 12 points and four rebounds. 
  • Trinity Edwards had five points, while also dishing out one assist in the final period.
  • Romich was the leading scorer on the night, with 13 points. Romich was also crucial on the defensive end with two steals and a block.
  • Enyogasi was right behind her with 11 points of her own, to go along with 9 rebounds and four assists.

UP NEXT:

The Fighting Knights will be back home against Florida Tech on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. Lynn won their last matchup against Florida Tech on Jan. 15, 53-47.
