Box Score Daytona Beach, Florida – The Fighting Knights traveled to Daytona Beach to take on the second-place team in the SSC, and they came away with a massive victory to keep their SSC postseason hopes alive heading into the final five games of the season. Jamison Evans led the way with 20 points and knocked down four of Lynn's 10 three-pointers in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first half saw the Fighting Knights fall behind by as many as nine. However, down 21-12, Lynn scored eight straight to cut the lead to 21-20. The Eagles would attempt to keep the Fighting Knights at arm's length, but Lynn wouldn't go away. Finally, with just under a minute remaining in the first half, the Fighting Knights tied the game at 32-32. Both teams traded threes after that to enter the break with the score tied 35-35.
- Evans and Cameron Gaines each scored 10 points in the first half, with Gaines shooting 2-2 from three-point range.
- Servet Kurnaz had six rebounds in the half, as the Fighting Knights pulled down 18 as a team.
- Lynn put up a whopping 18 three-point field goals in the first half, and they knocked down six of them.
- In the second half, the Fighting Knights took their first lead since early in the game when Brandon Bornelus knocked down a three to give Lynn the 38-37 advantage.
- Lynn would continue to shoot the ball well and build their lead to 46-39 heading into the first media timeout of the half.
- The Eagles cut the lead back to one, before the Fighting Knights went on a 7-0 run to take an eight-point lead with just over 11 minutes remaining.
- Lynn would play with a lead for the rest of the game, but things got tight late. Up seven with just over one minute remaining, the Fighting Knights struggled to take care of the ball and knock down free throws, which allowed the Eagles to cut the lead to two and grab possession of the ball. However, Lynn's defense hung strong and they were able to prevent the Eagles from scoring the tying bucket.
- The win ends a five-game losing streak for the Fighting Knights. That streak began back on Jan. 19, when the Fighting Knights lost by 22 to Embry-Riddle.
- Evans led all scorers with 20 points. He shot 8-13 from the field and 4-7 from deep.
- Gaines ended with 17 points and three blocks.
- Kurnaz was a beast on the glass, pulling down nine rebounds. He also had two blocks.
- Christian Peevy scored 12 points and was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. He also had eight rebounds and three assists.
- Bornelus led the way with five assists and he scored 11 points.
- As a team, the Fighting Knights had seven blocks while the Eagles had just one.
UP NEXT:
The Fighting Knights will be home on Saturday, Feb. 12 for a matchup with the Florida Tech Panthers at 4 p.m. The first time the two teams met, Lynn defeated Florida Tech 84-68.
