Boca Raton, Florida - The Lynn Fighting Knights women's lacrosse team has achieved another program first, entering the NCAA Division II South Regional ranking at No. 2. They sit behind only undefeated national No. 1 Queens (N.C.). The final regional ranking will determine who qualifies for NCAA postseason play. The top four teams will ultimately make the postseason field. 

This is the first time in program history that the Fighting Knights have been ranked in the South Region. They are the top-ranked Sunshine State Conference team coming in ahead of Embry-Riddle, Rollins, and Florida Southern who rank No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5, respectively. Lynn already has wins over Embry-Riddle and Rollins this season. They will take on Florida Southern on Sunday, Apr. 24 at 12 p.m. 

The Fighting Knights are currently in second place in the SSC and have a massive weekend ahead of them. On Saturday, Apr. 23, they will welcome SSC-leading Tampa to Bobby Campbell Stadium at 1 p.m. Despite not being ranked in the region, the Spartans have rattled off four straight wins, including victories over Rollins and Embry-Riddle. Lynn will follow that game up with the aforementioned game against Florida Southern. A win in either game this weekend would wrap up an SSC Tournament berth for the Fighting Knights, and a win in both games would wrap up a regular-season conference title.
