INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Lynn University volleyball team had plenty of momentum heading into the 2023 campaign and now that the regular season has come to a close the Fighting Knights will carry that same momentum into the NCAA Tournament. Lynn has earned the second seed in the NCAA South Regional for the second-straight season and brings with it an eight-match winning streak.
No. 3 Tampa (26-1) will serve as host of the south regional and the Fighting Knights will take on West Florida, the seven seed (25-7), in the opening round on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 2:30 pm.
The Fighting Knights have earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament field for four-straight seasons following tonight's selection show. The postseason trip is the eighth in the last 16 years.
This year's field of teams will feature top-seeded Tampa (1 seed – 28-1), Lynn (2 seed – 24-7), Embry-Riddle (3 seed – 22-9 ), Eckerd (4 seed – 22-8), Florida Southern (5 seed – 20-9), Nova Southeastern (6 seed – 19-10), West Florida (7 seed – 25-7) and Spring Hill (8 seed – 30-4).
The Tournament will span three days, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, and the first round will commence on Thursday.
