Lynn suffers narrow setback at No. 2 Nova Southeastern

DAVIE, Fla. – Freshman Salma Djoubri, sophomore Greta Schieroni and freshman Dolores Molina each collected a win in singles action as Lynn suffered a 4-3 setback at No. 2 ranked Nova Southeastern, Wednesday in a battle of nationally-ranked teams. The loss drops the Fighting Knights to 1-1 on the spring.

- Djoubri opened singles action with a straight-set 6-0, 6-3 win over the nation's No. 8 ranked player Julie Razafindranaly
- In No. 2 singles, freshman Kristen Younes lost to No. 39 Natalie Espinal 6-3, 6-4
- Schieroni posted the Fighting Knights' second singles win when she defeated Karolina Snita 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles
- Fatima Bizhukova downed Lynn sophomore Zophia Podboil 6-0, 5-7, 8-6 in the fourth singles flight
- Senior Giorgia Pigato lost to Diane Follin-Arbelet in fifth singles 6-2, 7-5
- Molina rounded out singles action with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 come-from-behind win over Eva Goncharov
- Nova Southeastern jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead after winning doubles action
- Schieroni and Podboil lost No. 1 doubles 6-2 to the country's top doubles pair, Bizhukova and Espinal
- Djoubri and Pigato stumbled to a 6-2 loss in second doubles to Goncharov and Follin-Arbelet
- Younes and Molina lost to Snita and Razafindranely 6-1 in the third flight
