BOCA RATON, Fla. – Senior
Jalen Stanton scored four goals and Lynn University used an 8-1 scoring run to collect a 13-8 victory over visiting Flagler, Saturday in men's lacrosse action. The win is the first of the season for Lynn and is the first for
Mark Miller at the helm of the Fighting Knight program.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams attempted 38 shots on the afternoon
- The Fighting Knights finished 22-of-23 on clear attempts and limited the Saints to just 19-of-26 on clears
- Lynn scooped up 40 ground balls and won 14-of-24 faceoffs
- The Saints jumped out to a 3-1 lead before the Fighting Knights scored eight of the game's next nine goals for an 8-4 lead early in the third quarter

Colin Farragher scored off an assist from sophomore
Dylan Colon with 2:18 left in the first that started the scoring outburst
- Lynn outscored Flagler 6-1 in the second quarter

Thomas Murray opened the second frame with an unassisted tally

Stephen Becker scored a goal and handed out an assist in the second and Stanton scored with 1:52 left in the second as the Fighting Knights led 8-4 at halftime

Fisher Williams for the third quarter's first score as Lynn led 9-4
- Just before the midway point of the third quarter, Farragher found Colon for a goal and Lynn's largest lead of the afternoon at 11-5
- Flagler rebounded with three-straight to narrow the deficit to 11-8 early in the fourth

Jackson Cutter scored with 10:59 left in the fourth and Stanton added a goal with 2:05 to play to push the final differential to five goals
