BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn women's basketball team began their SSC Championship Quarterfinal with a 16-0 run in a 63-50 win over Barry, Tuesday night. Graduate student
Meghan Cramb went 8-for-12 from the field and led all scorers with 19 points, as the #3 Fighting Knights advance to the semifinals to take on #2 Eckerd on Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn forced Barry to call an early timeout, opening the game with a 7-0 run after sophomore
Ella Fiore made a layup, graduate student
Jada Marone hit a three-pointer and sophomore
Makayla Hemingway scored a layup
- The Fighting Knights began the game on a 16-0 run as Barry started 0-for-9 from the field and committed five turnovers before scoring their first basket at the 2:11 mark
- Hemingway hit a three at the buzzer to put Lynn up 22-4 after the first quarter
- Graduate student Meghan Cramb played all 10 minutes in the first quarter and led all scorers with eight points
- Fiore's basket at 6:35 left in the second quarter gave Lynn a 26-8 lead
- Marone's layup put the Fighting Knights up by 20 with 3:30 left in the first half
- The Fighting Knights led 32-15 at the half as Lynn shot 45% compared to Barry's 21% through two quarters
- Lynn had five players with 5+ points at the half
- The Buccaneers opened the scoring in the second half with three free throws to cut the Lynn lead to 32-18
- Fiore scored three points at the line to make it 35-18 with 5:33 left in the third quarter
- Barry's K'Nari Holliday made the first field goal of the third quarter to cut the Fighting Knights lead to 14, 35-21
- The Fighting Knights used a 7-0 run to double Barry's score, 42-21, after a Cramb jumper, graduate student
Marianna Klavina rebounded her own miss and scored, and a three by sophomore

- The Buccaneers opened the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run, making the score 44-33 with 8:30 remaining in the game
- After Barry cut the lead to 10, Cramb hit a three-pointer at the 5:53 mark to give Lynn a 49-36 advantage
- The Fighting Knights went up by 15, 55-40, after a drive and layup by sophomore
Danielle Montelbano with 3:08 left
- The Fighting Knights won by a final score of 63-50
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Cramb's 19 points were her most in a game since she scored 26 points on Nov. 26 vs. Limestone
- The Fighting Knights were a +18 during the 33 minutes Cramb was on the court
- Fiore posted a double-double, scoring 13 points and a season-high 12 rebounds
- Fiore had a game-high three steals and is averaging 3.6 steals per game over her last seven contests

Lucija Kostic had a game-high six assists and added a blocked shot
- Montelbano scored six of her eight points in the fourth quarter
- Lynn held Barry under 50% from the field in every quarter as the Buccaneers shot just 29.5% for the game
