BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University women's basketball team will face 24
th-ranked Lee University (Tenn.) in the opening round of the 2022-23 NCAA South Regional Tournament this Friday, March 10 at 7:30 pm. The matchup will take place at The University of Tampa as the Spartans are the host and top seed.

The Fighting Knights are the fifth seed and enter the tournament with a 23-8 overall record having won nine of their last 10 games. The only blemish on the schedule during the last month is a loss to No. 3 Tampa in the Sunshine State Conference Championship game this past Sunday.
The Flames enter the tournament as the fourth seed with an overall record of 25-6. Lee is ranked 24
th in the nation and is making its sixth-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. Lee dropped the Gulf South Conference Championship game on Sunday to Union, 76-68. Union is the third seed in the NCAA South Regional in Tampa.
The Fighting Knights are making just their second NCAA Tournament appearance following a record-setting 2022-23 campaign that saw them set the program record for wins, while winning their first-ever SSC Tournament home game with a 63-50 defeat of Barry in the opening round.
Friday's game will be the first ever meeting between the Fighting Knights and the Flames.
Lynn will be led by a pair of All-SSC award winners in
Jada Marone (graduate student) and
Ella Fiore (sophomore). The duo average 14.4 and 12.5 points per game, respectively and have combined for 128 steals on the season.
