WINTER PARK, Fla. – Sophomores
Kristyn Johnson and
Mallory Jarka each scored two goals as the 16
th-ranked Lynn women's lacrosse team endured a 14-10 loss at No. 8 Rollins, Wednesday afternoon. The loss is the second-straight for the Fighting Knights as they settle at 10-5 overall and 1-3 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn and Rollins were tied at 3-3 after the first quarter
- Johnson scored her two goals in the opening quarter and freshman
Elizabeth Clagett scored at 6:11 to lead the Fighting Knights over the first 15 minutes
- The Tars outscored the Fighting Knights 11-4 over the second and third quarters to lead 14-8 as the game headed for the fourth
- Jarka scored at 8:21 in the second and senior
Bayley Tracy scored at 5:44 to help the Fighting Knights to an 8-5 deficit at halftime
- Rollins opened the third quarter with three-consecutive scores for a 13-6 cushion

Danielle Farinas scored with 6:55 left in the third and Jarka added her second goal with 1:47 showing as Lynn trailed 14-7 after three quarters
- The Fighting Knights played its best quarter in the fourth by outscoring Rollins 3-0

Lauren Dickson opened the scoring at 11:50, freshman
Becca Clark scored with 8:49 left and junior
Sydney Hill closed the afternoon with a goal at 2:23 as the visitors trimmed the final to 14-10
- Rollins held narrow leads in shots (29-28) and saves (11-10) and each team finished with seven caused turnovers
- Lynn held a decisive 18-10 advantage in draw controls
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Johnson scored twice with one assist to go along with an impressive 10 draw controls
- Farinas scored once with two assists
- Jarka scored twice, while Tracy scored once with one assist

Ciara Moorman finished the afternoon with 10 saves in 60 minutes
