WARREN, Ohio – Lynn University junior
Jose Ramirez shot a -1, 71 on the first day of the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships at Avalon Lakes Golf Course to finish in a tie for 14
th place, Monday.
Ramirez is one of eight individuals competing at the NCAAs and is ranked third of the group following day one. The tournament field consists of 108 total players from 20 teams and eight players competing as individuals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ramirez had a birdie on the front nine and shot a 35, while he had two birdies on the back nine
- He also posted two bogeys on the back nine and finished at 36
- Ramirez finished E, 3.00 in Par 3 scoring, +1, 4.10 in Par 4 scoring and -2, 4.50 in Par 5 scoring
- Ramirez tees off on Tuesday at 1:11 pm
